Arvestykker (Heirlooms) (original composition)

One of my favorite things in music has always been to work on texture and layering, with vocal harmonies being a very important, central element found in every Sylvaine release since my debut album came out in 2014. "Arvestykker" allowed me to once again tap into a complete, a cappella choir-like piece, with no fixed, rhythmic elements and a therefore very organic feel, exploring the melodic language of Norwegian folk music. Translating into "Heirlooms", this really felt like an homage to my Norwegian musical heritage, using only the most personal of instruments; my voice.
