Biography
A true Memphis Born Singer Songwriter
One part sensibility, one part power guitar rhythms, one part rockin' hippie, one part country gal, two parts completely natural singin', mix in equal parts on a warm Southern day (just warm enough to melt your butter).
Memphis Flyer (Record Round Up) Chris Herrington
Salley proves to be a winning vocalist -- earthy, twangy, immediately likable and a deceptively sharp songwriter. The album matches her virtues with a front-porch intimacy and spontaneity.
Rikks Reviews
Susie Salley's album is a very strong compilation of a variety of music helming from her southern origin. I highly recommend this album for a detour that is out there and those wanting something unique and inspiring to listen to.

"BREAK FREE" is Susie's debut as a solo artist and the title fits the true concept of this album. It not only has proven her to be a talented musician, but also an accomplished songwriter in her own right. There is no specific genre to label this album as the variety of her gifted writing abilities have given us a taste of the different styles of Susie Salley. All songs were written by Susie

"BREAK FREE!!"
That is good advice we got from Susie Salley. This charming singer-songwriter has a nice, warm voice that sometimes reminds me of Patti Smith or Marianne Faithfull. Bigger audiences should enjoy Bob Salley's virtuoso sound on mandolin, bass, piano and electric guitar...What a great musician he is! We wish more national radios would play more of this roots-country-Americana music. They prove they can compete with the Woodys.... The Salleys make music from the heart and soul.. Tomorrow's another day, but that won't stop us from playing this album until it's broken....
