for a big tender, tasty Black Angus Steak
Hackberry, Valentine, Peach Springs, arrived at Seligman at noon
I had the worst damn coffee I ever had in a Saloon
Another hundred miles to go… I‘m driving all the day
Another hundred miles to go… I am on my way
In Seligman I made a stop at Angel Delgadillos Barber Shop
It was a nice and sunny day and he had so much to say
Arizona is the state where he was born,
This State has always been his home
He spent his life on Route 66
He‘s the “Angel of The Mother Road”
From Seligman to Ash Fork going to Pine Springs
in Williams I spent the night
I had a couple of “Rattlesnake Beers” what a delight
Next morning I took the Interstate no.40, they call it
“The Purple Heart Trail”
Arrived at Flagstaff going down to Sedona today
Another hundred miles to go … I‘m driving all the day
Another hundred miles to go … I am on my way
Going back from Sedona up to Winona arrived
at Seligman at night
I had a small talk with Angel before we said good bye
Arizona is the state where he was born,
