As a little girl I’d be imagining
The places I’d go and what I might be
Maybe some day I’d fly away
But soon wondering got the best of me
So I packed my bags and I spread my wings
And headed south to try it out

But just like summer dreams fade away
I could feel the wind starting to change again,
Driftin’ without thinking

And here is where
I wander today
And where
I’ll go tomorrow
Who’s to say

And riding with the wind
I’ve seen beauties untold
Felt the magic in the air
Oh the wonders I’ve known
Along the way
I’ve been amazed
I keep looking to the sea and out in the west
There on the horizon sits a promise kept to me
Though it’s not always easy

It’s like they say
still waters run deep
The current’s in my soul
And it’s pullin’ me out again

And that’s where I wait
Flowing further away
And hear my voice
Sometimes it feels
I don’t have much choice

As a journey unfolds you cannot know
Who people really are and why they come and go
And what they’ve meant until the end
But looking in your eyes
I see the same light
I’ve been following since
I decided to fly
Some folks say it’s a lonely road
But there I found my love
and I found my home
Again
What a ride it’s been

Yeah It’s been a ride
It’s been a ride
it’s been a ride
Enjoy the ride!

And it’s here I'll stay with you
For always
And wherever it takes us I know
I’ll always be home
