3 Ten Miles Down 4:16: Written in the downtime on an old Steinway in the A room at a recording studio that Jesse used to manage on the lower east side of NYC called Eastside Sound (where Lou Reed and Laurie Anderson tracked), this earworm is an artful and catchy commentary on how some relationships are doomed before they begin. Jimmy Paxson (Stevie Nicks, Lindsey Buckingham) played drums, Taras Prodaniuk (Richard Thompson, Lucinda Williams) played bass, and Brian Whelan (Dwight Yoakum) played guitar and sang harmony. Jesse played piano.
