First time she ever seen him He came to revival meetin’
Big brown eyes and overalls
Though the preacher done his best blue eyes and a cotton dress
Was the closest thing heaven those brown eyes saw
And the winds of fate began to twist and twirl for TC and Pearl

Dirt poor from the start with calloused hands and willin’ heart
They carved a life from those hard Kentucky hills
They put their faith in the Lord through measles mumps and wars
And rocked their babies to the song of a whippoorwill
There were lots of little feet and cry’s and curls for TC and Pearl

It all started on Willow Creek road a hand dug well and old wood stove
To live and watch their babies grow was all they wanted
They found out that livin’ on love was always more than enough
For six boys and three girls and TC and Pearl

One by one the years went by the babies grew and learned to fly
But they never flew too far away from them
Over chicken and dumplin’s on Sunday, they’d tell all the grand kids oneday
Up in heaven they’d all live together again
Cause family and faith in God was the whole world of TC and Pearl

It all started on Willow Creek road a hand dug well and old wood stove
To live and watch their babies grow was all they wanted
They taught us all that livin’ on love was always more than enough

For six boys and three girls and TC and Pearl
