A Little Twang
Since the time she was a little girl she listened to her daddy's records.
Dancing as they turned 'round and 'round singing all the words out loud.
He knew she'd be big one day he was right she had her name in lights, but her fame didn't come from the music that he loved.
For years and years she sang the blues she even sang rock and roll.
But the country she grew up on was deep in her soul.
So she wrote a song for her daddy on the front porch he sat on a swing.
As she sang for him her country song one with a little twang.
He smiled at her as she sang her song he remembered her dancing and singing along with those old records as if time never moved on.
For years and years she sang the blues she even sang rock and roll.
But the country she grew up on was deep in her soul
She remembers dancing 'round and 'round standing on her daddy's shoes they'd go 'round and 'round and 'round.
But the country music she grew up on was deep in her soul, deep in her soul, deep in her soul.
