If I Were a Carpenter – We wanted to cut a true duet song and listened to several songs from the great country duets (George and Tammy, Conway and Loretta, Porter and Dolly); but we settled on one that we felt fit our style the best. Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash were a dynamite duet that always projected a little attitude. We were drawn to that. Ron’s mandolin really shines here!
