Patuxent Music Announces the January 1st release date for Shannon Bielski and Moonlight Drive’s Iris. <br />

Iris will be the first single release of 2024 for Shannon and Moonlight Drive. <br />
<br />
Recorded by The Goo Goo Dolls in the late 1990s, Iris was a Billboard hot 100 song written by John Rzeznik.<br />
<br />
Shannon and the band got the idea to cover Iris when one of Shannon’s students brought the song to her attention. Shannon immediately saw potential for this song to make a great bluegrass recording. <br />
<br />
This release features Shannon Bielski on  lead vocal and fiddle, Jack Dunlap of Dunlap and Mabe on guitar and mandolin, Rob Benzing on banjo, Cody Brown on bass, and Michelle Hannan of One Blue Night on harmony vocals.<br />
<br />
Shannon worked with producer and label owner, Tom Mindte, to create Iris, the first single from the band’s new album, to be released by Patuxent Music later in 2024.<br />
