Based on a true family story: at my great-grandparents’ 50th wedding anniversary, a dotty, old cowhand is trying to find a way to be helpful. When he’s told to “Keep the flies off of the cake,” he decides to spray the cake with DDT (!) that everyone ate. I began to ponder what the generational consequences might be...perhaps *this* was why I’m a “mutant freaky folk musician”?
