Psychedelic

I was very young during the 60s but I remember the hippies, the hair and clothing styles, peace signs, and Rowan & Martin’s Laugh-In on the teevee machine. I loved the music of that time – the Beatles, the Turtles, the Mamas & the Papas, and so on – and I was turned on by the counterculture dynamic. This song is a fun throwback built around all of that, and a play on the word “psychedelic” itself. Completely not serious. I’m surprised that so many younger listeners can relate to it, and relate to the whole scene of that bygone era.
