Following on the heels of previous compilations 'The Saustex Variations Volume Three' is a low-priced sampler featuring 18 tracks from recent Saustex Records album releases including: Churchwood 'Hex City', Grandpa Death Experience 'The Unforgiving Shoe Of The Future', Various Artists "Mutants Of The Monster: A Tribute To Black Oak Arkansas' (tracks by Jello Biafra and Jimbo Mathus), Javier Escovedo 'Kicked Out Of Eden', Western Star 'Fireball', The Grannies/The Upper Crust 'Lords & Ladies', Hickoids 'The Out Of Towners', The Beaumonts 'Hey Y'all It's The Beaumonts' and Blowfly '77 Rusty Trombones', as well as a couple of previously unreleased tracks. Saustex remains one of the USA’s most staunchly independent labels releasing adventurous punk flavored, roots-based rock music in a variety of styles from conjunto, folk, psychedelia, punk and garage to R&B by artists from Texas as well as around the US and Western Europe.
