4. Year of the Dog (Feat. Ingrid Graudins, in memoriam)
This song is about a struggle between me and God and rejection by the Christian church based on my sexuality. I came out in the early 90s when it was much more difficult to navigate being gay. Many of us led double lives and kept our sexuality a secret. I’ve spent most of my adult life trying to reconcile who I am with this “religion” I was brought up in, and this song tells the story and shares the pain of this conflict.
