I'd been walking thru the desert
What seemed to be for days
When I come across a rider
Making camp not far away
Just an Outlaw on the run
I was runnin out of time
If I could sneak up on that rider
I'd make all that he had mine

I peered out of the darkness
with a pistol in my hand
He was setting by the fire
Singing bout some promised land
He wasn't much surprised to see me
With my gun aimed at his head
I staggered on up to him
In a desperate voice I said

He turned slowly round to face me
with his hands up in the air
He said I've been waiting for you friend
I'm glad you're finally here
He offered me some water
It took me by surprise
But I wouldn't let him trick me
As I stared him down I cried

He held his hands out to me
And he looked into my eyes
I shot him thru the chest I knew
that one of us my die

There's no way that I had missed him
Somehow he never fell
He said there's people prayin now
to save my soul from hell
A light began to shine from him
I thought that I was dead
I fell down on my knees
He looked at me and said

It's not over
Prepare to meet your maker

Jesus is waiting
Better make your peace right now
He can save your soul right now
Come to Him and bow
and Say Your Prayers
