It Won't Be Christmas Without You - Rusty Ends - Wayne Young Project
It's turning cold and we have snow,
Lots of wreaths and mistletoe,
Frosty and Rudolph, Charlie Brown on tv,
Excitement building to Christmas Eve,
It can't be Christmas without you.
The sounds of Christmas are everywhere,
Jingle Bells fills the air,
Soon the carolers will sing Silent Night,
Everybody says Merry Christmas but it don't seem right,
It won't be Christmas without you.
We always spent Christmas Eve with my folks,
Drank eggnog, laughed at grandpa's corny jokes,
Christmas morning was just you and me,
We had Christmas dinner with your family.
Downtown there's always a big celebration,
Children's faces aglow, lots of decorations,
There's a Santa on every corner, their bells are ringing,
Laughter fills the air, everyone is singing,
It won't be Christmas without you.
We hung up our stockings filled with silly gifts,
Couldn't wait to see what St, Nick would bring,
Lottery tickets, lots of gift cards,
One year your stocking held an engagement ring.
Looking up in the sky I know just what to do,
I'll wish on the Christmas star it's got to come true,
I'll write to Santa all I have to do is believe,
He's gonna' bring what I want next Christmas Eve,
It'll be Christmas when you're here,
It'll be Christmas once you're here,
We'll have Christmas again.
