When I Get There
As I travel down this road of life, it's a rough and rocky way
And my journey here can be so hard to bear
But the Lord said He'd prepare a place and it'll be my home someday
I'll leave my troubles far behind when I get there
When I get there I'll have no sorrow, no more burdens will I bear
I'll see that shining city, leave behind these earthly cares
I'll meet a man called Jesus in a land that's bright and fair
He'll be waiting at the gate when I get there
I'll try to help a sinner, steer them on the righteous way
Tell of how the Lord can ease a load of care
When I take my final journey, I'll see Jesus on that day
I can hear Him say 'well done' when I get there
When I get there I'll have no sorrow, no more burdens will I bear
I'll see that shining city, leave behind these earthly cares
I'll meet a man called Jesus in a land that's bright and fair
He'll be waiting at the gate when I get there
When I get there I'll have no sorrow, no more burdens will I bear
I'll see that shining city, leave behind these earthly cares
I'll meet a man called Jesus in a land that's bright and fair
He'll be waiting at the gate when I get there
I'll meet a man called Jesus in a land that's bright and fair
He'll be waiting at the gate when I get there
