HARD NOT TO LIKE
Writer: Richard Aberdeen ASCAP
Publisher: Freedom Tracks Music ASCAP

He's an old man who no doubt, has seen better years
A broken down man who's cried way too many tears
He worked long days on a back road farm
To keep his children healthy, safe and warm
He's a hard man who has a certain charm

And now, he sits in a swing most every day
Smoking and swinging the day away
Sometimes he tells tall tales late into the night
Now and then, a dusty radio plays
But he don't care for what it has to say
He's a hard man and hard not to like

She's an old woman who no doubt, has seen better years
A broken down woman whose cried way too many tears
She worked long days on a back road farm
To keep her children healthy, safe and warm
She's a hard lady who has a certain charm

And now, she sits in a chair most every day
Knitting and rocking the day away
Sometimes she tells tall tales late into the night
Now and then, a dusty radio plays
But she don't care for what it has to say
She's a hard lady and hard not to like

Yeah, they sit on the porch most every day
Swinging and rocking the day away
Sometimes they tell tall tales late into the night
Grandpa and Grandma rarely have much to say
But always have a way to make you feel okay
They're hard folks and hard not to like
Yeah, they're hard folks and hard not to like
