It’s one in the morning. I roll over in bed. “Hey, babe, I got something here. Shakespeare or something. Just an idea of course.” Thus was born the bridge in “Take What You Will.” It’s basically a play on words for all the different ways you can take during the day. Too much taking, not enough giving. So the song is just a gentle reminder that when you’re done taking, maybe you can give back just a little. Drew and Andy brought it to life in a way we never could’ve imagined. We are forever grateful for the sound they created for us on this one. It literally rings off the peaks that tower over our town. This is the music I always wanted to write.
