This song comes as a collaboration between Elzadie Robinson (‘The De Soto Parish Songbird’) and the New Orleans guitarist Johnny St. Cyr, recorded in 1928. Elzadie minced no words when she wrote it, and Johnnie minced no notes when he played it. Roman got the whole thing.
