Bullying Well is a love letter to the playing and singing of Como, Mississippi matriarch, Rosalie Hill. Her hypnotic guitar grooves and brilliant vocals present a vital link between the fife and drum band music of her father, Sid Hemphill, and the driving North Mississippi Blues of her niece, Jesse Mae Hemphill. Played in an odd open tuning of Roman’s own devising.
