Down On Me comes from the obscure Eddie Head and Family. During a feverish late night voyage down the Rev. Gary Davis Rabbit Hole, Andy Cohen shared this 1930 record with me, and noted that Davis possibly had picked up some of his C-position maneuverings from Mr. Head. In my own interpretation, I enter through the melody of Pacetina, an ethereal Bolivian string band number recorded by Alberto Ruiz y Su Lira Incaica in 1928.
