The most emotional song I have ever written. I asked my dad one time to up and take a vacation just to see some sights and spend some time together. He said I’d like very much to go, but if I go anywhere, I just don’t want to come back”. We both laughed, but sadly, it rang true later when he passed away. He lived up to that statement, and might have given me my best song ever. If I ever knew my old man, he’d say “I’m glad I could help”.
