I don't have to lose at love, I can heed the warning
I don't have to sing about feeling bad, cuz I'm feeling pretty good
I'm don't have to keep hurting myself, the way the blues tells me I should

I don't have to keep singing bad news, So I'm proud to announce that, I'm through with the Blues

I don't have to wake up, hung over from booze
I'm not gonna dance to the, music business schoomze
I'm don't have to do everything, everybody tells me I should
If they mind their own business, it might do them some good

Even though I've over paid my dues, I'm here to tell you that, I'm through with the blues
