Biography
Robyn Spangler started singing professionally at the age of 17 and is a third generation professional musician. She received a vocal scholarship to study opera and graduated with Bachelor of Fine Arts in musical theatre and vocal performance. She has sung in rock bands, dinner theaters, amusements park revues, choirs and even telegrams. And, she has sung everywhere from bowling alleys to Carnegie Hall. In 2008 she decided to record her first CD before she got any older. She went to Brio Studios in Glendale California and started a collaboration with Producer/Arranger Todd Schroeder. "I sang songs that I like and know," says Spangler. "I looked at it as a musical business card and sang across several genres. I didn't think it would make a marketable CD. But Todd arranged and orchestrated each track and made them fit together with a great vibe. He's just brilliant." The result is "On A Liquid Afternoon." Terry Martinez of MuzikReviews.com says, "Spangler’s tune selections are an impeccable choice to demonstrate the full range of her taste and talents, from jazz to R&B to country to potential mainstream pop hits. Smart and sassy in her song selection and career, Robyn Spangler crosses the boundaries of Cabaret and Easy Listening to be just a great listen."
