This song is a funeral homage to David Bowie. I think the whole world felt the aftershock Of his death, I felt like I got the wind knocked out of me. Sometimes I grab a pen and a guitar to process my grief. I think a lot of songwriters do, it’s emotional therapy with music, and it really helps a lot. It’s releasing some sadness to chords. Mick Ronson has been my favorite guitar player/arranger since 1973. Absolutely brilliant. I miss them both but in the same breath, I’m grateful for their art. That’s what this song is all about.
