Growing up in Hollywood in the 70s, I was exposed to and seduced by Glitter Rock. I started a Glam/Goth band called ‘Sex With Lurch’ and some labeled it as a ‘Transvestobilly’ band. To me it was just good n’ trashy hypnotic Rock N’ Roll....a tad bit sleazy, as Proper Rock should be. The next incarnation was the surfy B-Movie-esque ‘Barbarellatones’ and I still keep the door open to both bands, because we are friends and you never know what the future will bring! This new album is just me, Robbie Quine, focusing on my song writing and there is still a lingering Glittery fog of The Velvet Underground, Bowie, The Cramps that I just can’t seem to wash out of my hair yet...it’s like an old dred-lock saturated with Aqua-Net, I’m stuck with it and I can’t get rid of it. It won’t fade...I might be screwed. I’m a geriatric glam rocker. It’s an Eternal 1973...so, all-aboard The Glitter-Train....! Choo Choo...
