Disquiet Dream
You got me runnin’
All over this countryside
Searchin’ high and wide
Like a bandit
Cut off and alone

A frantic scream
Insidious atropine
Burns my skin
As it breathes

Don’t make it real
Deliver me from this spare
Bad nightmare
Bring on the morning
Scary night
I can’t go through it alone

Tough as I fight
It holds on and won’t let go
A stranglehold
Of apprehension
The moon has turned black

Push through the weeds
A tangle of fear and mourn
A plea for dawn
Oh, set me free

And I’m mad
Can’t wake up
But when I do
The shadows laugh
It’s all the same
Scary night
That lasts a hideous day
