Ghost Town
Alone on this chair
Not a soul in sight
The haze in the air
Masks the midday light
Tears of sweat on my brow
But my body is chilled
Shield my eyes
Stare it down
Still no one
Does appear

In this ghost town
Ghost town
Where the sound of a voice
Would be glass shatterin’
As the clock ticks the time
Dyin’ inside my skin
In this ghost town
Ghost town
Where I
I
Will die

In the distance, catch the eye
Of a lone coyote
Waiting and watching
Stealthily
As he moves, I wonder
Will he pick my bones cold
Will I care
Will he dare
Will anybody know

In this ghost town
Ghost town
Where the sound of a voice
Would be glass shatterin’
As the clock ticks the time
Dyin’ inside my skin
In this ghost town
Ghost town
Where I
I
Will die
