Biography
*Ray Edwards is a Two-Time World Champion Banjo Player and cowrote Hard Rock Mountain Prison ('Til I Die) with cowriters Larry Cox and Terry Foust which was a #1 song for Russell Moore and IIIrd Tyme Out in 2010. Ray worked the road and in the studio for over thirty-years with the likes of Randy Travis, Tom T. Hall, Jeanie C. Riley, Ed Bruce, Lynn Anderson, Sammy Kershaw and many others. Ray went back to his bluegrass roots several years ago playing banjo and writing what he loves...bluegrass music. Ray has a long list of great songs that have been recorded by some of the biggest names in bluegrass music. His upcoming CD, Portrait Of A Bluegrass Songwriter is unbelievable, It's the best of the best. The project took over a year to record and it features the twelve top-drawer songs of Ray Edwards with each song being performed by a different member of the bluegrass elite.
