Morning Sky
I walk again down by the water
A summer shower’s blowing by
Before the family’s up
Beneath the Morning Sky.
We never gathered too much money
Still we manage to get by
We’ve got the love we share.
And every Morning Sky.
Shoppers carry in their pockets lists of things to buy.
They don’t stop to pay attention to the Morning Sky.
I know the daylight’s made for labor
And in the night we close our eyes
But in between the lines
We get the Morning Sky.
Until the day we die,
We get the Morning Sky.
