When I See The Lights Again
When I See the Lights Again

One has a baby, one lives in Texas,
another lives an hour down the road.
They’ve had their troubles, but they’re mostly happy,
running down the different paths they chose.

One comes for dinner, one calls too often.
Another hardly ever calls at all.
But what I miss most is us together
underneath this roof, surrounded by these walls.

So, when I see the lights and ornaments twinkling once again
on a tree in the corner of our room,
I feel alright, I feel alright.
‘Cause I know that we’ll all be together soon.

One left for college, one stayed to marry,
another moves around each year or two.
We tried to visit when we had the money.
But we get older, it’s not so easy to do.

Wish I had known when we were younger
how precious all these moments would become.
So now I press each one in memory
And they carry me through the year till Christmas comes.

So, when I see the lights and ornaments twinkling once again
on a tree in the corner of our room,
I feel alright, I feel alright.
‘Cause I know that we’ll all be together soon.

So, when I see the lights and ornaments twinkling once again
on a tree in the corner of our room,
I feel alright, I feel alright.
‘Cause I know that we’ll all be together soon.

Yeah, when I see the lights and ornaments twinkling once again
on a tree in the corner of our room,
I feel alright, I feel alright.
‘Cause I know that we’ll all be together soon.
