NEW RELEASES. NEW MUSIC FROM THE Quinn’s Top Blues & Soul of 2012
We’re pleased to announce new music from our innovative soul-blues Artists, in a compilation GO SLOW-Blues Crossing! We’ll be releasing the album in digital singles – the ten tracks will be released on Tuesday, April 9, with add-on singles introduced each month through late spring.
The Compilation begins with two songs from our newest release, Keep On Keeping On by artist James Gilbert “Rainy Night In Georgia,” an smooth-mellow blues-cover written by Tony Joe White in 1962 and made famous by the late Brook Benton in 1970, and “Blues In The Morning,” an original sultry slow blues groove written by Eugene Smiley that moves through a soulful Little Milton Campbell rhythm to a slow-heart felt moan of neediest. The collection features Special Guest Soul & Blues recording Artist, Carl Marshall who added that high-spirited soul jamming session that was commonly used by the earlier Blues and Jazz Bands of the past everybody got to do their own thing in, I Got the Blues Trying to Find Love, part 1 & 2. This collection wouldn’t be complete with out the ever-popular Blues Man the late Lil Aaron Mosby who certify the collection as the Blues with his versions of Jimmy Reeds, You Don’t Have To Go and Little Walter’s ,Last Night, with Lil Aaron you get the real sound of blues of the mid 50’s and early 60’s. When you add the new Torch-carries of the blues to the collection like, Oliver Johnson, Melvin “Smokehouse” Moore, Mississippi Red and Chicago own Osee Anderson you really got to take heed and, GO SLOW-Blues Crossing. At the conclusion of the series the entire GO SLOW-Blues Crossing collection will be available for purchase in digital album and Compact Disc format, as well as individual tracks.
