Driven by an unlikely chord progression, this is a deeply philosophical exploration of the challenge of being human. Its focus are those points of light that can be so restorative: “falling stars and fireflies” that reassure the man on his bed of nails that “it’s alright.” The album title comes from this hard-eyed exposition. International guitar-star Marc Ribot adds energetic uke to the mix; alongside Kevin Breit’s chugging electric baritone, they work together with Zacharin’s acoustic to keep the message moving forward.
