Newly formed duo Pitney Meyer — comprised of friends and accomplished musicians Mo Pitney and John
Meyer — deliver a bittersweet ode to friendship on “Old Friend.” The wistful original beautifully captures the
kind of friendship that lives on forever in memories, serving up nostalgia and melancholy side by side with
Pitney’s sentimental southern drawl and Meyer’s tender banjo picking. Following debut track “That Sounds
Lonesome,” “Old Friend” is the second song to release from the bluegrass brotherhood, whose jam
sessions turned into a residency at Nashville’s historic Station Inn.

“Old Friend” was written by Mo Pitney, John Meyer, and Wyatt McCubbin; and produced by Daniel Kohavi,
Eric Quinlan, John Meyer, and Mo Pitney.
