While we were recording the "Time is Talking" album in 2004, a homeless acquaintance of ours was stabbed to death in Mesa, Arizona. Dave was a harmless, friendly soul that we had spoken to over the years, and his death affected all of us. I wrote this song in a day or so, and inserted it into the album. Dave's killer is still out there.
