Little Concerto in Eb
recorded by the Czech Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra,
in praise of Mozart

The Little Concerto in Eb is an undisciplined expression of youthful enthusiasm. Reminiscent of the early works of Mozart, the composition ignores the basic rules of the great musicologists. In lieu of properly developing a theme, this piece zigzags from theme to theme, tempo to tempo, swerving between the simple and the grand. True professionals would scold the composer for these transgressions, these blatant violations of all the proper rules of musical grammar. Yet, it is this very impertinence that gives the Little Concerto in Eb its appeal.
