Born in Budapest, Hungary, Peter Foldy immigrated to Sydney, Australia as a child where he soon landed work as a kid actor in TV commercials.

After a family move to Toronto, Canada, Foldy formed a band and began writing and demoing his new self written material. Those demos found their way into the hands of an indie label who quickly signed him as an artist and his first single, “Bondi Junction” become a number one Canadian hit, earning him two Juno Award nominations (the Canadian equivalent of a Grammy).

Enjoying a ten year run in the music business, scoring several other top ten hits on labels such as EMI, Polydor and RCA, Foldy eventually re-discovered his love of film and soon turned his sights on writing and directing.

To date he has directed five feature films with stars such as Eugene Levy, Beverly D’Angelo, Peter Coyote and Academy Award winner, Louise Fletcher, among many others. His films have been seen on Showtime, HBO and film festivals around the world, earning Foldy several awards including best director.

After the warm reception he received for a “Best of Peter Foldy” CD released in 2008, Foldy decided to bring his career full circle again. He went back in the studio and his brand new CD, ‘Nine Lives’ was finally released in September of 2014 on Bronte Road Records, with distribution through Planetworks Entertainment and CPI.
