Favorite foods: Lasagna, Chinese, goulash. Barbecued steaks or anything else. A good salad, eggnog at holidays!

Goals: To share my music with the world. To touch as many as I can with my music and use my music as a catalyst to affect a change in peoples lives.

Background Information:

Peter became involved in music early in his life. He had been singing in his school choir for some time when he developed an inherent love for music. Peter started in Rock-n-roll. He began to actively pursue his musical career in the early 80's, but that was brought to a halt after a series of incidents that caused Peter to get out before he ever really got started. In 1994, after a long absence from music, Peter found his calling once more. He fell in love with music all over again. Due to the biggest influence in his life, his wife Sheri, he was convinced to try again and strive to achieve his dreams. Since then, Peter has been concentrating his efforts in country/rock music. Peter's CD, "That's What Living's For", is his first effort in country/rock. We think you will agree he was born for it!

A Statement from Peter about his Music:

"It's not that I had lost the music, I was just keeping it suppressed inside. I thank God that Sheri wanted me to be happy and she wouldn't let me give it up. Writing is a pleasure and I can feel the music again. Finding country music has been a catalyst for my writing. I've found a creative aspect I never even knew I had. I'm pretty lucky really; I've been given a second opportunity to find out who I am. I'll never be the same again."

Peter completed and released his first full length CD in August 1997 entitled "That's What Living's For". Peter has re-released his CD in 2003 with all new photos. The CD includes the five songs from his demo, as well as six original works, all penned and performed by Peter. Peter is as of 04/20/07 presently in the studio working on his new CD, Across The Line.

Peter is a regular visitor on the Internet and has samples of all the songs from his CD available as Real Audio and MP3 files. Thanks to chat programs such as ICQ, he has accumulated thousands of followers. We estimate there are approaching 1,000,000+ mp3 files of his music circulating on the Internet and it is growing daily. Peter has fans in countries in every corner of the world. His demo and CD have been sold as far away as Germany, New Zealand, The Netherlands, Scotland, Okinawa, Malaysia, England, Australia, the Philippines, and in almost every state in the country.

Due to Peters own marketing efforts, he has sold over two thousand cds and demos thus far. This is limiting in terms of self-marketing. Peter only lacks the muscle of industry professionals behind him to put him on the top. Peter Britt is a solid hit, musically and vocally. His music is unique and diverse in the country/rock genre.

Recent Achievements:

August 30, 1997 - Performed at the Broken Spoke Songwriter's Lounge, Nashville, TN.

August 31, 1997 - Performed at the "Bluebird Cafe". Nashville, TN. Many of Peter's fans were in attendance from every corner of the country and Canada as well. Peter was also invited back to the Bluebird Cafe in December 1997.

December 6, 1997 - Performed at the Broken Spoke Songwriter's Lounge, Nashville, TN.

December 10, 1997 - Peter's original song, "Blue Jeans, High Heels and Fire Red Hair", is named to the German Super Country Top 10 music charts. http://www.countrymusic.de/charts.html and holds in the top 10 for 3 strait weeks in Germany.
December 1997 - Peter is included as one of the top 10 artists of 1997 featured on the Internet radio show, RadioETC in The Top Ten Spotlight Artists for 1997 on RadioETC. http://www.radioetc.com/

May 2003 Peter opened for The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band at the annual Rifle Rendezvous Festival, Rifle, Colorado to a crowd of around 2000 with a rousing response. Peter stayed until all were gone signing autographs for fans.

May 2003 Peter plays the Grand Junction Christmas parade of lights to a crowd of over 10,000.

May 2006 Peter has been chosen to play a small part in the movie, (Grand Junction, The Movie). A small, independent film in which he plays the part of Thomas Gregory Tucker, a gunfighter who gets into a poker duel with a local gunslinger. The producer of the movie has also chosen one of Peters songs from his cd, Thats What Livings For to be in the movie soundtrack. Peter should realize a great deal of exposure from this.
