EVERYBODY TALKS
Writer: Richard Aberdeen ASCAP
Publisher: Freedom Tracks Music ASCAP
Here in a global information age, the whole world's truly become a stage
Everyone has their own soap box and their own opinions
Social websites, ragin' blogs, partisan agenda and attack dogs
Everybody talks and talks and talks and nobody listens
Everyone's troubled by conditions
We all have our own suspicions
Everybody talks and talks; talks, talks and talks
And nobody listens, nobody listens, um, um um
Um, um, um, um, um, nobody listens
Frightened cries from the birds in the trees
Fill the warm haze surrounding you and me
Feel the ill wind rustle through the leaves
As a voice behind the thunder pleads
Before it's way, way too late
Won't you listen, listen to me please?
Everyone has their own ambitions
Lofty illusions, superstitions
Everybody talks and talks and talks
Everyone's troubled by conditions
We all have our own suspicions
Everybody talks and talks; talks, talks and talks
And nobody listens, nobody listens, um, um um
Um, um, um, um um, won't somebody listen?
