FIND A ROSE
Writer: Richard Aberdeen ASCAP
Publisher: Freedom Tracks Music ASCAP

Hate to admit it, but you know, the fact is
I've been spinning more than once on my axis
Lost and confused from my head down to my toes
No one seems to know what is required
To fill an empty heart with all it desires
But maybe some day, maybe some way, I'll find a rose

Maybe someday, maybe some way, I'll find a rose
In a garden where hearts slowly harden
It's hard to discern where the right one grows
How to receive a cool drink of water, I suppose heaven only knows
Maybe some day, maybe some way, I'll find a rose

They say, some are lucky and some are not
Maybe we're all just slaves of circumstance
Lost and tossed around which ever way the ill wind blows
But it's hard to believe deep in my soul
That each flower merely blooms by chance
And maybe some day, maybe some way, I'll find a rose

Maybe someday, maybe some way, I'll find a rose
In a garden where hearts slowly harden
It's hard to discern where the right one grows
How to receive a cool drink of water, I suppose heaven only knows
Maybe some day, maybe some way, I'll find a rose

Troubled days seem to quicken
As I keep beating my head against a rock
And the cruel hands of time keep on ticking, tick-tock

Maybe someday, maybe some way, gonna find a rose
Maybe I'll find the kind of love I'm after
And there will be freedom, peace and laughter
How to receive a cool drink of water, I suppose, heaven only knows
Maybe someday, maybe some way, I'll find a rose, find a rose
Maybe someday, maybe some way—some day, oh, gonna find a rose
Gonna find a rose, oh yeah
