Old Rhodes is now released! A blast from the Washington DC Disco scene!
Two songs on Arthur Lisi’s new release, “Old Rhodes” were actually recorded in the Disco era in Washington DC. The sound you will hear would have been heard at such dance clubs as the Harambe House, the historic and iconic “The Clubhouse”, and many more places in the late 70’s and 80s.
Using the same Fender Rhodes that he played then, Arthur composed and added the 2021 title track to the album.
Arthur had put together this band for the purpose of touring the world with Van McCoy, and tour they did, from Japan to Mexico… even playing Carter’s inaugural ball, Later, upon Van’s untimely death, playing the clubs in the District of Columbia area.
