Evening Prayer

EVENING PRAYER


As the twilight falls, the evening sings to me with one voice --
And I contemplate just how today I used my choice
Did I take a stand To reveal who I truly am?
Or did I let the world win? Did I give in?
Can I find strength within Once more to begin?

As the nighttime comes, the moon and all the stars shine their light-
And I think of all the things throughout my day that went right --
Oh I know Ill never be the perfect one
But let me more often than not Be my Higher One
Let me not give in Let me find strength within
Once more to begin

So I turn my thoughts to those around me,
Everyone I have ever known -- friends and family.
If were hurting now, May I forgive them and they forgive me.
Im praying that each of their lives be expressing their greatest
blessing.

And I give thanks for the whole world
Sending thoughts that the Highest Good
Take place everywhere for everybody -- synchronistically.

As I close my eyes, the crickets chirping lulls me to sleep --
I have asked that solutions come to me from the deep --
For my dreams bring me my answers by the dawn,
I wake up to surrender to my Highest One
So I dont give in So I find strength within Once more to begin.
