PHOENIX


I cant rise until I fall thoroughly
And I cant fly until I die.

We start out life in a shell
I felt mine breaking down around me
I thought I was going through hell
Instead I found a lighter way to be

I am a phoenix rising
A servant of the sun

Must leave the past in ashes, everyone


My first flight just might leave me shaking.
Is it because of fragmented shells still on my wing?

Theres nothing left to cling to,
Theres no one else to be
The sun is what Im awakening to
As I let go, I feel my soul set free
