Dying Of The Light is about a guy watching the sun go down and realizing that the curtain is coming down on a "golden age" and a coming "dark age" can't be avoided.  An unacknowledged Jungian shadow is projecting from lost souls.  All the wisdom of great minds and ancient texts won't stop the "dying of the light."
