Desert Crossing

Desert Crossing is the opening tune on the "Natural Processes" CD and depicts a drive across the desert and all the things that one might see. It features Dr. Decker playing his funky guitar and wild, wa-wa organ solos. This instrumental song oscillates between two tempos: the main speed is a forward driving tempo followed by sections of double time (as if the driver stepped on the gas for a moment). The constantly changing keys along with chromatic ascents and decents give "Desert Crossing " a variety of contrasting moments and moods.
