Hillbilly Willie's Blues / Travelin' Railroad Blues
[3.b] Hillbilly Willie's Blues/ Travelin Railroad Blues[b/] 4:08

This is a medley of songs by Georgia Bluesman and 12- String virtuoso, Blind Willie McTell. The main melody is an amalgam of Hillbilly tunes like 'The Crawdad Song' and others, but this is not a novelty song or an insincere parody. McTell had a broad vernacular, and this song is evidence of his ability to channel many muses. I originally learned and arranged this piece for banjo, but in the end, I felt that a 12-string guitar most effectively got out the message.
