Christmas At My Father's House
CHRISTMAS AT MY FATHER’S HOUSE

Station wagon filled with kids headed down the interstate
Loaded up with Christmas gifts wrapped with bows and pretty paper
Every year on Christmas Eve when December’s finally ending
I go back to my old street back home where we’ll be spending

Christmas at my father’s house friends and family gathered ‘round
To celebrate Our Savior’s birth love and joy and peace on earth
Mom will smile and say welcome home Dad will say it’s been too long
But we’re all back together now for Christmas at my father’s house

Christmases have come and gone nothing ever stays the same
Mom and Dad have both past on the kids all live in different places
Now they come here on Christmas Eve like a circle never ending
I guess that’s why I still believe someday we’ll all be spending

Christmas at Our Father’s house friends and family gathered ‘round
To celebrate Our Savior’s birth love and joy and peace on earth
Mom will smile and say welcome home Dad will say it’s been too long
But we’re all back together now for Christmas at Our Father’s house
Ain’t that what it’s all about Christmas at Our Father’s house
