Yes I am a Christian soldier yes I’m marching off to war
Every day is a battle to become more like you Lord
This world doesn’t want me righteous doesn’t want me to love my God
But Your Grace it overwhelms me and by Your Grace I will beat the odds

I’m going to keep on marching and following my Lord
I’m going to keep on fighting not to live like I did before
I’m going to keep on praying and singing Jesus’ praise
He gave his life, The Lamb sacrificed so that my debt could be paid

I wear the helmet of my salvation and on that I will never yield
My breastplate is made of righteousness and my faith it is my shield
The wicked one will shoot his arrows let him do just what he will
For my sword it is your word Lord and I won’t be standing still
