Mama never quit fighting until The Good Lord took her home
She did her best but couldn’t beat the cancer in her bones
Packing up her things one day a letter fell on the floor
What I read found a home in my heart forevermore

Don’t forget to take the time to pray
Open up your bible give forgiveness to a rival

Live a true and simple life teach your children love your wife
And help a helpless stranger on the way
Make this world a little better till we get back together
