There are people on the street with nowhere to go looking for their place searching for their soul
I know what that’s like I’ve been there before deep down I know I will search no more

Deep down I am connected to The One who resurrected
I’ve been baptized in the water washed in the blood
Come out as clean as a whistle though I’ve wallowed in the mud
That’s the love that’s the love of Jesus that’s the love that freed us

To slip into darkness is the devil’s plan for me but I know The Man from Galilee
And He lights my way I have no doubt deep down His Light will never go out
